Overview
Queer Chocolatier strives to provide high-quality, handmade chocolate confections while also standing in solidarity with queer and trans folx. At Queer Chocolatier, they find beauty in diversity and provide indulgence for all.
Queer Chocolatier approached Studio 165+ seeking to create a set of branded occasion cards for customers to purchase along with their chocolate confections. They wanted to further the imagery of the "still here, still queer" Valentine’s Day campaign we created earlier in the year.
Solution
Queer Chocolatier is a sweet shop featuring ethically sourced chocolates as well as handmade baked goods. We highlighted this by integrating the same ingredients used by Queer Chocolatier into the final designs.
The resulting deliverables consist of a set of nine different occasion cards. These occasion cards range from wishing a happy birthday to saying thank you. The type was created digitally and printed as a stencil to draw the letters with baking ingredients. Various flowers and props were incorporated to convey emotions specific to the each card's theme. Illustrations were also incorporated onto the photographs and inside the card for added interest.
